We are proud to announce the successful resolution of a multi-year, high-stakes litigation for our client, Diverto International B.V., against RAAL SA, a Romanian manufacturer. The case involved the unauthorized retention of know-how and tools for Diverto’s QS 100 machine.
Working alongside Dutch firm Adriaanse van der Weel advocaten, we secured favorable rulings in Romania and the Netherlands. The Dutch courts upheld our client, Diverto’s claim, leading to enforcement proceedings locally to recover €1.6 million. Following asset seizure measures, RAAL agreed to a final court-approved settlement, paying the full amount and committing to return all intellectual property and never to use Diverto’s know-how again.
After 4.5 years of litigation in Romania and the Netherlands, this decisive outcome underscores our expertise in cross-border disputes and commercial litigation.
The team securing this major win was led by Stelian Garofil, Managing Partner, alongside Ana-Maria Filip, Partner.
