The Association for Promotion of Arbitration in Romania and the Bucharest University organized on 11 March 2017 a moot court competition for preparation in view of the Willem Vis contest, 14th edition, Hong Kong (26 March to 2 April 2017) and the 24th Viena edition (8 to 13 April 2017).
More than 400 universities worldwide will participate to Willem Vis. At the moot court competition held at the Bucharest University have attended teams from: Moldova State University, Nicolae Titulescu University and the Bucharest University. The team of the Bucharest University has obtained the highest score both for teams and individuals.
Andreia Oana Dumitrescu, partner in Dragne & Asociatii law firm, was part of the jury formed of many other reputed practitioners and academics. Dragne & Asociatii has provided educational and financial support also at the 2016 edition of the contest, when the team of the Bucharest University outscored 300 universities, including some of the most prestigious worldwide.
This year, the team of the Bucharest University consists of eight students, respectively: Ioana-Cătălina Bîzîc (4th year), Steliana-Andra Cărăbaș (4th year), Ioana-Gabriela Ciornei (4th year), Octavian-Florentin David (4th year), Mircea-Pavel Dinu (3rd year), Sabrina-Gabriela Porteka (3rd year), Horia-Gabriel Rădulescu (3rd year) și Andreea-Livia Ricu (4th year). The team benefits from the guidance and financial support of several law firms, including Dragne & Asociatii, as one of the main sponsors.
