Daniel Cirstea, Partner at Dragne & Asociatii and the head of the Labour Law department, was quoted by a business publication on the National Trade Unions Block’s recent initiative to change the labour laws. The National Trade Unions Block has analysed the current labour laws and it deems them to favor the employer and hamper the employees, hence the necessity to amend it.
Daniel Cirstea commented on this initiative, stating that as the last major changes in labour laws were undertaken only a year and a half ago, other amendments within short periods of time might have a negative impact on businesses. Most companies are affected by the economic crisis in several areas of their activity and therefore it would be difficult for them to deal with legislative instability.
