Andreia Dumitrescu is a young but very experienced litigator. She specializes in domestic and international arbitration. Her arbitration experience includes investment and international commercial arbitrations under the ICSID, UNCITRAL, ICC, VIAC and other arbitration rules. She has also advised on enforcement and annulment/set-aside proceedings in relation to domestic and international arbitral awards.
She has represented clients in a broad range of international arbitration and litigation proceedings in relation to construction, engineering and infrastructure projects, privatization contracts, long-term supply agreements, M&A transactions and share sale-purchase agreements. She has advised also on multi-tiered dispute resolution procedures in construction disputes, especially in connection to FIDIC contracts, and on litigation related to the protection of IP rights in the pharmaceuticals sector.
Prior to joining Dragne & Asociatii, Andreia Dumitrescu was Managing Associate at Musat & Asociatii (2004-2010). She holds a law degree from the University of Bucharest Law School (2004), a Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration (DiplCArb) from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK (2010) and a certificate in European Integration from Bucharest University Center for Euro-Atlantic Studies (2004).
She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK (MCIArb) (2009), the Bucharest Bar Association and the Romanian Bar (2005). She speaks Romanian, English and French.
